Which type of complaints are accepted?

A complaint is complete only if its dossier contains the following elements:

  • name and postal address of the registrar that has committed the alleged violation(s);
  • indication of the domain name(s) that may constitute the object of the complaint;
  • indication of the specific stipulations of the code of conduct , that have allegedly been violated;
  • all relevant documents and information that can provide proof of the alleged violation(s).

The Council of Conduct can only process complaints against eu registrars that have subscribed to the Code of Conduct. The list of subscribing registrars can be downloaded here .

If the Registrar who allegedly breached the Code of Conduct is not a subscriber to the Code of Conduct, the Secretariat will transmit the complaint to EURid, who will process it.
