The Interim Council has proceeded on March 29th at the occasion of the ICANN meeting in Lisbon with the election, by lottery, of the Definite Council of Conduct . The Council of Conduct is composed of fifteen (15) dedicated representatives and fifteen (15) reserve representatives, with a minimum quorum of eight members. Those members having their address in a European Union Member State, as reflected on the registrar agreement between EURid and the Registrar, have been elected by lottery after a public call for candidates. The registrars based outside the European Union were co-opted shortly afterwards. There will be 3 (three) additional representatives to the Definite Council of Conduct, appointed by Eurid, namely: one representative of EURid and two representatives of the .eu registrants selected by EURid from appropriate consumer associations.
THE CODE OF CONDUCT SECRETARIAT STILL ACCEPTS CANDIDACIES FROM EURID ACCREDITED REGISTRARS TO HAVE A SEAT IN THE DEFINITE COUNCIL OF CONDUCT AS A RESERVE MEMBER. PLEASE SEND AN E-MAIL TO CONDUCT@EURID.EU, WITH YOUR REGISTRAR ID, THE REGISTRAR NAME, AND THE NAME AND CONTACT DETAILS OF THE INDIVIDUAL THAT WILL REPRESENT YOUR REGISTRAR ACCOUNT.
